This is a Sarabande originally written by Karol Rathaus wrote for Habima's performance of Merchant of Venice in Palestine in 1936. Ariel Davydov arranged original Rathaus' score into an orchestral suite. Leon Botstein led The Orchestra Now in the first performance of this music on February 24, 2019 in LeFrak Hall of Kupferberg Center for Arts as a part of the final concert of the Rathaus festival.

In this April 27, 2019 performance, world-renowned violinist Vadim Repin joins The Orchestra Now (TŌN) for the U.S. premiere of Lera Auerbach’s Violin Concerto No. 3, De Profundis. Lili Boulanger’s rendering of the psalm, performed with soprano Elizabeth de Trejo, is dedicated to the memory of her father and was composed at the early age of 22, just one year before her death.
